Activewear Manufacturer for Fast-Growing DTC Brands

We’re New Dong Huang (NDH), an activewear factory in Dongyang, China. We’ve made activewear since 1999, mostly yoga and running, and we work best with DTC brands that are growing fast. Samples take 7–10 days, every order gets a final AQL 2.5 inspection, and our minimum is 500 pieces per colour per style.

We are not the biggest factory, and we don’t try to be. Many of the DTC brands we work with started with two or three styles and have grown into eight- and nine-figure businesses while producing with us. Category details are on our yoga wear and running shorts pages.

What a growing brand actually needs

The first order is rarely the problem. The reorder is: the colour that sold out has to come back looking the same.

Samples in 7–10 days

We fit the style in 3D first, then cut the physical sample. You get it in 7–10 days, which is usually the difference between making a launch date and moving it.

Reorders start from what you approved

We keep your approved patterns and lab dips. When a colour sells out, we start from the sample you already signed off instead of from scratch.

The same product next time

Sets are cut from one fabric lot so the bra and the legging match, and every order is checked to AQL 2.5 before it’s packed. Your customers reviewed the last run; this one should feel the same.

From first run to reorder

Five steps. The fifth one is where a DTC brand lives.

  1. Brief

A tech pack, a reference piece or a sketch, plus your target price and launch date.

  2. Fabric & colour

Fabric from our library or your nominated mill, and a lab dip for each colour.

  3. Sample

3D fit, then a physical sample in 7–10 days.

  4. Bulk & QC

Pre-production sample, inline checks during sewing, final AQL 2.5 inspection before packing.

  5. Reorder

We start again from your approved pattern and lab dips.

How we think about DTC production

Speed matters in two places

Getting a new style to an approved sample, and getting a sold-out colour back. Most of what we do for DTC brands is about those two moments. The rest of the calendar is usually fine.

Consistency is what reviews are about

A customer who loved the first legging will notice if the second one is a shade off or sits differently on the waist. Colour drifts between fabric lots, and fit drifts when a pattern gets redrawn. So we work from what you already approved.

Start narrow

Two or three hero styles on one fabric is the easiest first run to sample, stock and learn from. Add colours and categories once you know what sells. Plenty of brands start with private label styles and move to their own designs later, with the same team.
