Why start with private label

The fit and the fabric are already proven, so you spend your time on colour, branding and range, not on fixing patterns.

Proven fit and fabric

Every private label style is one we have already sampled and produced in bulk, so there are fewer surprises between sample and production.

Your brand, not a catalogue

You choose colours from lab dips, swap fabric, adjust details and add your own logo, trims, labels and packaging.

Room to grow

Many brands start with private label for core styles and add fully custom pieces later. We make both, so you do not need to change factory.

What you can change

Private label sits between a blank and a fully custom product. If you have your own designs and tech packs, custom (OEM) development is the better route. Private label vs contract manufacturing.

How to plan a private label range

Automated fabric cutting room at New Dong Huang in Dongyang

Cutting room · Dongyang

Start with a small core

Two or three core styles in one or two colours are easier to sample, cheaper to stock and quicker to learn from. A legging, a bra and a short cut from the same fabric is a common first range.

Choose fabric by customer

Nylon/spandex knits feel softer and suit yoga and lifestyle customers. Polyester/spandex knits wick sweat faster and suit training and running. Recycled versions of both are available.

Make the branding count

With the style already proven, colour and branding are what customers see first. Plan logo placement, label type and packaging together, and ask for a sample in your final colour before approving bulk.

Plan the next step

Once your core sells, you can add detailed styles, extend colours, or move signature pieces to fully custom development with the same team.

Private label activewear FAQ

What is private label activewear?

Activewear made from a manufacturer’s existing styles and fabrics, then branded and sold under your own label.

What is the difference between private label and white label?

White label is usually a finished product with only a logo added. Private label lets you change colours, fabric, details, labels and packaging, so the product is closer to your own.

Private label or custom manufacturing: which should I choose?

Private label is faster and lower risk because the fit and fabric are already proven. Custom manufacturing makes sense when your own designs are the point of difference. Many brands do both.

What is the minimum order for private label?

500 pieces per colour per style.

Can we change the fabric on a private label style?

Yes. You can choose another suitable fabric from our library, including recycled nylon and recycled polyester blends.

Can we use our own logo, labels and packaging?

Yes: heat-transfer, reflective or foil logos, printed or woven labels, and your own swing tags, polybags and cartons.

Which categories are available as private label?

Leggings, sports bras, running and gym shorts, training tops, yoga sets and layers.
