Nylon/spandex knits feel softer, smoother and more premium, which is why most yoga and lifestyle leggings use them. Polyester/spandex knits wick sweat faster and hold colour well, so they suit training and running. Spandex content usually sits between about 15% and 38%: the higher it is, the more compression and recovery you get.
Fabric weight matters as much as composition. Lighter fabrics (around 200 gsm) feel barely-there for studio wear; heavier fabrics give more hold and coverage for training.
A legging that goes see-through in a squat is the most common reason for returns. Anti-sheer knits, a darker yarn behind the face, and the right weight all help. Agree on how opacity will be tested before sampling, and test every colour — light colours behave differently from black.
High-rise waistbands with a folded or bonded top edge stay put during movement. Decide early whether you want an internal key pocket, a drawcord, or a no-seam front. Share a size chart and a fit reference, and we grade the pattern across your full size range.
Pockets, mesh panels, laser-cut ventilation, bonded hems and contrast piping all add value — and cost. A clean core legging in two colours is usually the best first order; add detailed styles once your core sells.
